Home Care Provider Pilot Program

Canada Home Care Provider Pilot Program

The Home Care Provider Pilot Program (HCPPP) is a federal immigration program that provides a pathway to permanent residence for experienced home care providers in Canada. The program was launched in May 2022 and is set to expire in May 2025.

To be eligible for the HCPPP, you must:

  1. 1. Have at least two years of full-time work experience as a home care provider in Canada within the last three years.
  2. 2. Meet the minimum language requirements (CLB 5 in English or NCLC 5 in French).
  3. 3. Meet the minimum education requirements (high school diploma or equivalent).
  4. 4. Have a valid passport or travel document.
  5. 5. Meet the medical and security requirements.

If your application is successful, you will be granted a temporary resident visa and will be able to continue working as a home care provider in Canada. Once you have been in Canada for two years and you have met the other requirements of the program, you can apply for permanent residence.
