Canada Child Caregiver Pilot Program

The Child Caregiver Pilot Program (CCPP) is a federal immigration program that provides a pathway to permanent residence for experienced child care providers in Canada. The program was launched in May 2022 and is set to expire in May 2025.

The CCCPP is similar to the Home Care Provider Pilot Program (HCPPP), but it is specifically designed for child care providers. The eligibility requirements for the CCCPP are also similar to the HCPPP.

To be eligible for the CCCPP, you must:

  • 1. Have at least two years of full-time work experience as a child care provider in Canada within the last three years.
  • 2. Meet the minimum language requirements (CLB 5 in English or NCLC 5 in French).
  • 3. Meet the minimum education requirements (high school diploma or equivalent).
  • 4. Have a valid passport or travel document.
  • 5. Meet the medical and security requirements.

If you are eligible for the CCCPP

If your application is successful, you will be granted a temporary resident visa and will be able to continue working as a child care provider in Canada. Once you have been in Canada for two years and you have met the other requirements of the program, you can apply for permanent residence.
