Rural and Northern Area Immigrant Pilot

Canada Rural and Northern Area Immigrant Pilot

The Canada Rural and Northern Area Immigration Pilot (RNIP) is a federal immigration program that provides a pathway to permanent residence for skilled workers who want to live and work in rural and northern Canada. The program is designed to help address labor shortages and support economic growth in these regions.

To be eligible for the RNIP, you must:

1. Have a valid job offer from an eligible employer in a rural or northern community in Canada.

2. Meet the minimum language requirements (CLB 5 in English or NCLC 5 in French).

3. Meet the minimum education requirements (high school diploma or equivalent).

4. Have a valid passport or travel document.

5. Meet the medical and security requirements.

If your application is successful, you will be granted a temporary resident visa and will be able to come to Canada to start your job. Once you have been in Canada for two years and you have met the other requirements of the program, you can apply for permanent residence.
