To be eligible for the AIP, you must:

• 1. Have a valid job offer from a participating employer in the agri-food sector.
• 2. Have at least one year of work experience in a designated occupation within the last three years.
• 3. Meet the minimum language requirements (CLB 4 in English or NCLC 4 in French).
• 4. Meet the minimum education requirements (high school diploma or equivalent).
• 5. Have a valid passport or travel document.
• 6. Meet the medical and security requirements.

If your application is successful, you will be granted a temporary resident visa and will be able to come to Canada to start your job. Once you have been in Canada for two years and you have met the other requirements of the program, you can apply for permanent residence.
